In the name of God, Most Gracious Most Merciful,

To Rishi Sunak,

I have always a been a big fan of yours and consistently admired the way you presented yourself with such slickness and professionalism throughout Covid and also during the run up to becoming Prime Minister on 25th October 2022. In fact I literally cried tears of joy when you won the Conservative Party leadership election, and have spread positivity about you to friends and family.

I’m today writing to you regarding the ongoing and escalating conflict between Israel and Palestine.

I’m a practising Muslim myself living in the beautiful and highly peaceful religion of Islam.
In our Holy book, the Quran, I want to quote a part of 5:32 to you:
“if anyone slew a person unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if anyone saved a life it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people.”

Our teachings tell us to treasure human life, animal life, all life, and cannot even commit harm to our own bodies, never mind others. This is what our faith teaches us through the scripture of the Quran.

From what I see on the news, let me state clearly that what Hamas has done seems completely evil and wrong from my understanding and I completely condemn it.
After all, the Oxford dictionary definition of Terrorism is:
“the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims”.

Regarding the ongoing conflict in Gaza, I’m wanting to understand your reasoning for not using your position of power to immediately call a ceasefire?

I want to briefly talk about the “Principles of Just War theory”.

A war that starts as a Just War may stop being a Just War if the means used to wage it are inappropriate.

  • Innocent people and non-combatants should not be harmed.
  • Only appropriate force should be used.
    • This applies to both the sort of force, and how much force is used.
  • Internationally agreed conventions regulating war must be obeyed.

It is evident to me that Israel is not on the same civilisational wavelength as what I’d like to believe the West are. Let me be clear, When I say Israel, I don’t mean all of the wonderful Jewish people both living in Israel and throughout the world. I’m talking about the current Israeli leadership and government. Even a large percentage of the Jews living in Israel are completely against the Israeli government’s recent actions.

You are smart enough to know that the media paints a very inaccurate picture of what is really going on. If you are fair you will see that Israel has, from what I can find in media, manipulated footage to make it look like Hamas have done things such as “killing babies”. I personally find Hamas “killing babies” impossible to believe and I urge you to research into the truth of how any media showing so may have been doctored using AI and image-generation. And then I believe you should be at the fore-front in leading the way to spread the truth, and then act accordingly.

Here in the West, when one single child is abducted or harmed, we (quite rightfully so) make a long investigation into finding the truth of what happened and bringing evil to justice, to make the world a better place. After all, a poor Mother carried that child for 9 months and gave all the tender love and care possible within the environment, to give the best upbringing and life possible.

At the moment (today is 3rd November 2033), each and every day so many innocent civilians, including mothers and children, are being blasted into chunks of flesh & bone by the Israeli Defence Force.
You can call this collateral damage during the “taking out of the odd Hamas member”. However if 9000 Palestinian people have been recently killed in Gaza and 40% of them are children & babies… I’ll let you do the math.

A quick reminder – the Oxford dictionary definition of Terrorism is:
“the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims”. Rishi, I’ll let you make your own judgement.

The constant bombardment of innocent lives in Gaza clearly shows that this war is completely Unjust. Do refer again to the Principles of Just War.

This is placing not just Gaza, but actually the whole world in jeopardy – the world is rapidly becoming a less safe place for anyone to try and live in, anywhere, including our children and families, and yours.

I also shudder to imagine the long-lasting effects of the incidents of the murder you are allowing today, and how much further terrorism will be born out of it.

The atrocities committed in this war, and the constant massacre of the people is regularly narrated out of context, and Palestinian lives seem like they have much less value than Israeli lives. We are all equal and should all have our human rights.

In fact, nothing can be resolved until the root of a problem is dealt with. In this case you should already know that one of the main roots of the problem is the Israeli occupation of the West Bank.

You cannot understand this situation unless you understand Palestinians are an occupied people, and the Israeli’s are the occupiers.

Palestinian lives have been made hell for a long time. I believe it’s this oppression that ends up giving birth to organisations like Hamas. Supporting the current war will no doubt end up creating countless new similar organisations. Desperate people take desperate measures.

The “good vs evil” narrative needs to stop in the language and terminology used in the media and by you and your government. People marching and chanting “Free Free Palestine” are basically saying, “All Humans deserve their basic Human rights”. Seems completely fair, so why say it isn’t?

I’m hoping we haven’t sold our souls to the devil. If so, for what? Money? Power?

How you get judged will obviously be between you and God.
Just know that, in every decision you make, or don’t make, Angels are counting, God is watching, and Judgement Day is coming.

Finally, thank you for indirectly turning so much of the world to Islam.

I very much look forward to hearing your response.

Kind regards
Justice Seeker
